How to Increase Your Facebook Post Engagement

The biggest problem that most network marketers have with Facebook post engagement is that no one is even paying attention to the content they are posting!

There are several factors that play into getting people to see and pay attention to your posts.

The Facebook Algorithm

If you want to increase your Facebook post engagement and enroll more people you have to understand the Facebook algorithm. What people see or don’t see is all determined by the Facebook Algorithm. The Algorithm is a mathematical formula that assigns every single one of your posts a score, and the higher the ‘score,’ themore people Facebook will actually show your post to.

Of course Facebook factors thousands and thousands of factors into determining a post’s score; however, there is ONE factor that is more important than any of the others: ENGAGEMENT.

Engagement is also the one factor that YOU can easily influence in your favor. And because of that, Engagement becomes the MOST important factor of all.

What Is Facebook Post Engagement?

Post engagement is when someone views your post, likes that post, comments on that post, or even shares that post. The more engagement you can get on your post, the higher the score, and the more people that Facebook willshow your post to.

So the #1 key to enrolling people on Facebook is to find a way to increase your post engagement. It’s really that simple! It’s not EASY, but once you understand the rules, you see that the system is very simple to follow.

Facebook is looking for QUALITY, not QUANTITY.

Today’s Facebook algorithm (they do change it periodically) places an importance on ‘popularity.’ In other words, which posts your Facebook friends view, like, comment, and share.

So, if you’re not playing their game, you’re going to lose. Currently, I recommend posting no more than 2-3 times per day.

Since Facebook is looking for QUALITY, and not QUANTITY, then your job is to ‘impress’ Facebook with higher quality posts, and you do this through BETTER CONTENT.

By posting BETTER content less frequently, and focusing on driving engagement in your posts by creating real conversations with people, Facebook sees that people like your post.

When Facebook sees that your people like your post, they show it to even more people! With Facebook showing your posts to more people you’ll get better Facebook post engagement and be able to enroll more people.

So what does BETTER CONTENT mean?

Better content is usually generic in nature. It is contentthat focuses on the viewer and what THEY want to see in their feed. It also has nothing at all to do with yourcompany’s products, services, or the business opportunity.

Think of your social media feed like you own personal TVchannel. Would you watch that channel if the only thing playing on it 24 hoursa day is one commercial or another of the same product??? No! You would getbored and skip over that channel!

This what is happening with some of your friends! They areskipping over your posts! They refuse to even ‘tune in’ to your channelanymore! They have no desire to see another one of your ‘commercials.’ So,instead you are ignored, blocked, unfollowed, and unfriended.

So, what SHOULD you be posting for increased post engagement?

Focus on these 3 elements when creating your content: EDUCATE, ENTERTAIN, and EMPOWER.

To EDUCATE, focus on teaching and adding value to people with your content.

If you are in a skincare company, teach about skincare andbeauty tips.

If you are in a health or fitness company, share workouttips or recipes or why certain supplements are important.

The key to creating educational content is to teach peoplewithout promoting YOUR product specifically.

Position yourself as a consultant, or as an expert, who is sharing knowledge, and NOT as a salesman pushing a product.

To ENTERTAIN, you are helping people get to know you by sharing items and situations from your personal life.

Give us a fun and entertaining glimpse into your personallife! Don’t be scripted or guarded! Put yourself out there!

To EMPOWER, you share things with people that have impacted your life and that will inspire them as well. This can be quotes or books or ways you have found to be organized and more productive.

Remember, most people check their social media for eitherdistraction or entertainment purposes.

Your posts that EDUCATE, ENTERTAIN, and EMPOWER are meetingthat demand!

Facebook is watching EVERYTHING you do!

As a matter of fact every click, every like, every video view is recorded and sent to the Facebook algorithm. And if you are ‘social’ and engaging with people on the platform, the Facebook algorithm will reward you!

You can take advantage of the algorithm… the MOST effective way to increase engagement on your posts is to use Bob Heilig’s 10/10 Formula!

In less than 20 minutes per day, you can increase your Facebook post engagement by 2-3x your previous engagement numbers.

Here’s how the 10/10 Formula works…

Whenever you post on Facebook, no matter if it is a picture, quote, video, text, etc., for 10 minutes BEFORE you post become VERY active onFacebook. Be social! Engage with other people’s content in your newsfeed byliking, commenting, viewing, and sharing THEIR posts….especially yourprospects’ and customers’ posts!

Think of it like this: being social and engaging insideFacebook for 10 minutes before you post is like ‘warming up’ the algorithm.

Then, when you post, you will see a spike in engagement! Butyou’re not done.

Spend the first 10 minutes AFTER you post interacting with those people who liked, commented, and shared your post. “Early Engagement” is the first 15 minutes after you have posted, and it is a major factor in the algorithm.

You have just posted, and Facebook actually tests the postby randomly showing it to your friends to see how popular it’s going to be.

Consistent implementation of good content and the 10/10 formula WILL result in increased Facebook post engagement and ultimately it’ll help you enroll more people!
